What you should know about these resources

Scribe Media sells book services: ghostwriting, coaching, publishing and marketing. The free resources here are good, and many of them are also how Scribe meets future clients. That shows up in two ways. Several ask for your name and email before you see a result or get a file, and most of them end with an invitation to talk to Scribe. We tell you which ones ask for what.

You can write and publish a book using only what is free here. Plenty of people do. If you would rather have help, Scribe is one option among several: freelance editors and writers, coaches, and other publishing firms all do this work too.

Optional

Not sure which one fits where you are?

Rather pick a time yourself? Book a free 15-minute consult or call 512-325-0249.

Thank you. Your details are with the Scribe team.

Questions

About this catalog

Are these resources really free?

Yes, every one in the catalog costs nothing. Some open with no signup at all, such as The Scribe Method online, the blog and the Author Hour podcast. Others ask for your name and email before you see the full result or get the file. Each entry says which.

Who makes Scribe Courses?

Scribe Media, a book writing and publishing company in Austin, Texas that has published more than 3,000 books. Scribe sells book services, and most of these resources point to those services at some stage. We describe each one plainly anyway, limits included. Read how resources are chosen and checked.

Is this a course?

No. This site is a catalog and a guide. It tells you what each free Scribe resource is, who it is for and when to use it, then sends you to the resource itself on scribemedia.com.

Where should I start if I have only an idea?

Start with positioning: the chapters on objectives, audience and idea in The Scribe Method, then the North Star tool to turn your answers into one sentence. The plan your book path lays out the order.

How current is this list?

Every resource and link was checked on October 20, 2026. If a resource changes or disappears, we update or remove its entry.
